DIGIVESTASI - TikTok is preparing a platform that could jeopardize Instagram's existence. The app is called TikTok Photos and is directly integrated with the main TikTok platform. This report was cited by Mac Rumors from The SpAndroid. The integration function is located within the app code with several menus such as "Open TikTok Photos", "Get TikTok Photos", and "Share this Post with TikTok Photos".

Mac Rumors wrote on Wednesday (3/13/2024) that the release date or availability of the app is not yet known. In fact, TikTok already has the ability to upload photos to its app. Photos are uploaded in video or carousel format. 

However, there is no specific platform dedicated to photography yet. This latest move marks the first time TikTok has "copied" Instagram. Instagram is usually known for copying various features of TikTok. The service was originally known as a photo-sharing platform, but now focuses on short vertical videos similar to TikTok. 

Some time ago, Instagram made short reels videos a top priority to compete with TikTok. Similarly, check out your content on Instagram. Similar to TikTok, videos and photos now appear in your feed in full-screen mode. Sisters Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian protested the change. They want Instagram to go back to its original look.
